Taxation Committee

The Taxation Committee is responsible for maintaining research into technical matters and problems and for preparation of advisory and guidance statements for members. Its functions include monitoring various Tax Laws and Regulations; reviewing existing and proposed Tax Legislation; making recommendations for changes to existing or proposed legislation or regulations; pursuing implementation via relevant Government Agencies; negotiating and obtaining “Statements of Practice” from the relevant agencies with regard to otherwise controversial issues; and disseminating interpretations of tax provisions and bulletins.
