ACCA Graduate, Anecia Walters, was recognised at the ICAJ/ACCA Joint Graduation Ceremony held on October 29, 2016 at the Knutsford Court Hotel for her outstanding performances in the Professional Examinations. She received the ICAJ Professional Level Award and the Sushil Jain Award which is presented to the youngest graduate completing the ACCA examinations for the period. She was also presented with an award from ACCA for being a top place winner in the December 2015 to June 2016 Examinations.
Success has been no stranger to Anecia. She graduated with honours from the Holy Childhood High School in 2009, placing among the top 10 students. From there she matriculated at the University of Technology where she attained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics. Upon graduation in 2013, she immediately began her pursuit of the ACCA and joined KPMG as an assistant accountant.
She excelled at KPMG both professionally and academically, receiving yearly promotions and ACCA awards for various subjects during her three years at the firm, from July 2013 to June 2016. “KPMG provided an excellent environment for growth and greatly attributed to my professional development”, Anecia said.
After KPMG, she joined Pepsi Cola Jamaica as Chief Accountant in July 2016 where she is “enjoying the industry experience and being a part of a reputable brand and a company that employs hundreds of persons, and is currently expanding thus contributing to Jamaica's growth and economic development.”
As Anecia enters a new phase in her career, we wish her continued successes in all her endeavours. ICAJ is proud of her achievement!
