CPE
Chairman receives 2004 ICAJ President’s
Award
The ICAJ
President's Award for Most Outstanding
Committee Chairperson for 2003/2004 was
presented to Mr. Alvin Henry, Chairman of
the Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
Committee. During the 39th Annual General
Meeting and Luncheon at the Jamaica
Pegasus Hotel on July 21, Mr. Henry was
honoured for his invaluable contribution
to the development of the Institute's CPE
Programme.
In making
the presentation, Mr. Marshall noted that
under Mr. Henry's stewardship, the
Institute has maintained an aggressive
programme of broadening the scope of CPE
offerings for members. He also credited
the CPE Committee for being instrumental
in ensuring that practical hands-on
training was provided for members and
other stakeholders in the implementation
and application of International Financial
Reporting Standards (formerly IAS) and
International Standards on Auditing, which
were adopted locally in July 2002.
