2005 Certified Accounting Technician Awardees

In keeping with our practice of recognising excellence, the ICAJ presented the 2005 Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Award for outstanding performance to June 2005 graduate, Marlon King.

The CAT Award is presented each year to the student completing the entire programme in three (3) sittings over a maximum of two years, with the highest average mark of all those who sat the examinations. Marlon, who is currently preparing to sit the ACCA professional examinations at level two, attained the highest overall average mark of 75.5%.

The ICAJ also recognised the efforts of December 2005 graduate, Natecia Gordon, who although not qualifying for the main award, received special recognition for having attained the second highest overall average of 61.8%.

During the presentation ceremony, special mention was made of December 2005 graduate, Winsome Bryan, who upon completion of the CAT programme attained the highest overall average of 79.4%. However, she did not meet the criteria for the CAT award because she completed the programme in four sittings over the two-year period.
