2002 CAT Graduates - An Inspiration of Success
Emile
Valere, Head of Caribbean Affairs of the Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (ACCA), described the 155 graduates of the
June and December 2001 Certified Accounting Technicians (CAT)
programme as an inspiration of success.
The
graduates were honoured at the Joint ICAJ/ACCA CAT Graduation
Luncheon recently at the Hotel Four Seasons. This is the second
graduation exercise held under the CAT programme, which was
introduced in January 1998.
Having
completed the CAT programme along with one year’s relevant work
experience the graduates are eligible to use the designation CAT
after their names. Completion of the Certified Accounting Technician
examinations also provides automatic transfer as a student to the
ACCA professional examinations.
Burnadene Falconer,
Payroll Assistant at J. Wray and Nephew Jamaica Limited selected as
the recipient of the 2001CAT Award based on her outstanding
examination result. An award may be made to any student completing
